Privacy policy

NexqData builds, deploys, and operates custom web data collection agents, and runs the platform our customers use to operate them. This policy covers our website (nexqdata.io), the Talk to an engineer form, and the NexqData platform. To reach us about anything in it, use the Talk to an engineer form.

When you use the Talk to an engineer form, we receive:

• your name and email address;
• your company and job title, if you give them;
• what you’d like to discuss, any extra details, and the website addresses of the sources you’re asking about;
• any files you attach — up to five, 20 MB in total.

The form doesn’t store anything on our website. Your submission, including attachments, is delivered as an email to our team and kept in our email inbox. We use it to understand your request, reply to you, and follow up about it.

Please don’t attach passwords, access credentials, or sensitive personal information. If we need access to a source to assess it, we’ll arrange that with you directly.

Our website doesn’t use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and doesn’t set cookies.

Like any website, it can’t be served without some technical information. Our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser details, and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and keeps request logs for troubleshooting.

If you have a platform account, we hold:

• Account details — your name, email address, company, country, and preferences. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier from Google.
• Sign-in and security records — when you sign in or out, failed attempts, lockouts, and password resets, with the time and IP address. Passwords and API keys are stored only in hashed form; we can’t read them.
• Usage records — the agents, groups, pipelines, and schedules you run, their results, and credit balances and charges. We don’t collect or store payment card details.
• Collected data — the data your agents collect on your behalf.

The platform uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and protect your session. It doesn’t use tracking cookies.

The data your agents collect is yours. We process it to run your agents, deliver the results, and support and maintain the service — and for no other purpose. We don’t sell it, and we don’t share it.

Collected datasets are private to the user who collected them unless someone in your company chooses to share them. How that works, and how long archived data is kept, is described on our Security page.

We use the information described above to:

• reply to your requests and scope the work you ask about;
• provide, operate, support, and maintain the platform;
• send account emails, such as confirmations, password resets, and the run and system notifications you’ve left switched on;
• keep the website and platform secure, and investigate misuse.

We don’t sell personal information.

We rely on a small number of service providers, who process information only to provide their service to us:

• Cloudflare — hosts and protects our website.
• Resend — delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
• Our email provider — hosts the inbox where those submissions, and our correspondence with you, are kept.
• Google — only if you choose to sign in to the platform with Google.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the security of our service and the people who use it.

• Contact form submissions — as long as we need them to handle your request and any work that follows, or until you ask us to delete them.
• Account details — for as long as your account is open.
• Collected data — until you delete it, or until the retention period set for your account or company removes it.
• Security records — as long as we need them to protect the service.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, through the Talk to an engineer form. Platform users can also update their own profile and notification settings, and delete their own datasets, in the platform.

We protect information with the measures described on our Security page. No system is perfectly secure, but we describe what we do plainly, including what isn’t in place yet when you ask.

NexqData is a business service. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

When we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle information you’ve already given us, we’ll tell platform users directly.
